Old Turbine Motor Rewinding
There are a few reasons you might want to consider rewinding over replacement when it comes to your motors and other machinery. For one, it can be significantly cheaper to have a motor rewound than it is to replace it outright. Additionally, if your motor is still in good condition otherwise, rewinding can be a great way to extend its lifespan. Finally, depending on the issue, rewinding may be a more effective solution than replacement.
If you do decide to have your motor rewound, the process is fairly straightforward. First, the motor will be taken apart so that the winding can be accessed. Once the winding is exposed, any damaged or worn areas will be repaired or replaced. Once the winding is in good condition, it will be reassembled and the motor will be tested to ensure it is running properly.
